Q. How do I get a Hennepin County Library card?

Students, staff and faculty are eligible for a Hennepin County Library card, regardless of the county that they live in. HCLib has access to many newspapers and databases that Augsburg does not subscribe to, so it is recommended that Auggies who live outside of Hennepin county sign up for a card to gain access to these free materials. Please follow these steps to apply:

1. Go to the library card application page on the HCLib website: https://www.hclib.org/about/library-cards/library-card-application

2. Enter your name, birthday (optional), Augsburg email address, and Augsburg street address. Do not use your personal email or home address. 
   
   Augsburg's street address is:

3. Create a PIN to access your account.

You now have a digital library card with Hennepin County Library. You will receive your account information by email immediately.

**Please note that Auggies who already live in Hennepin County can use their own email and street address, and are encouraged to do so to keep their access after they have graduated from Augsburg.
