Q. What are Augsburg's specifications for having a graduate thesis bound?

SPECIFICATIONS FOR THESIS BINDING

Lindell Library Note:  These specifications are meant to supplement, not supersede, any Augsburg department's own discipline-based guidelines and practices for binding their graduate projects.  Check with your department to see if they have different guidelines.

Binding Material:  Black buckram

Stamp Color:  Gold

Please:

1. Leave front cover blank, unless you choose to center the Title on the cover.
    
2. Stamp spine with Degree program (initials, all caps; see below) and Year (see below). The left margin is about an inch from the top. Author’s name goes in the lower half of the spine, leaving a right margin about 3 inches from the bottom.

(3) For the degree, please use one of the following, depending on what appears on the title page:

• D.N.P. for Doctor of Nursing Practice
• M.A.E. for Master of Arts in Education
• M.A.L. for Master of Arts in Leadership
• M.A.N. for Master of Arts in Nursing
• M.F.A. for Master of Fine Arts
• M.S.W. for Master of Social Work
• M.M.T. for Master of Music Therapy

(4) The year is the year that appears on the title page — the year that the degree was granted.
